On a hot, humid summer day, you’ll more than likely find us at the lake. And on special occasions, you’ll find us camping at Merritt Reservoir by Valentine or Calamus near Burwell. Sipping a cool beverage while I bbq would be nice, but right now, alcohol is banned at Nebraska’s State Parks and Recreation areas.

But that could change since the Games and Parks Commission voted last month to reconsider. What led to the ban and should it be repealed? My take on the issue is this week’s Nebraska-ism.

Great! I posted all the 2010 Nebraska-isms. And, I finished this little project four days ahead of schedule!   Now, I’ll be able to add the new column on a weekly basis.
